WILDLIGHTS AT THE LIVING DESERT TO SPARKLE NIGHTLY STARTING WEDNESDAY DECEMBER 19TH

PALM DESERT/INDIAN WELLS, CA – (December 18, 2018) – WildLights at The Living Desert Zoo and Gardens will be open nightly beginning Wednesday, December 19 through Monday, December 24, from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. with last admission at 8:30 p.m.

Park closes at 9:00pm

WildLights transforms the zoo and gardens into a twinkling winter wonderland of more than a million lights. Guests will revel at the festive tunnel of lights synchronized to holiday music, the life-sized herd of illuminated animal lanterns, and the holiday-themed edition of the G-scale model train display.

This year The Living Desert welcomes visitors through its new entrance, which has greatly improved access and flow into the Zoo. Guests can explore new pathways and light displays throughout the African section of the park and meet many of the Zoo’s African animals including cheetah, zebra, and giraffe. Animal encounters and keeper chats, camel and carousel rides, and entertainment also take place nightly.

“With convenient parking and our new entrance plaza, the WildLights experience has never been easier to enjoy,” said Dawn Petrick, Director of Park Services.  “You don’t want to miss the last few days of this favorite holiday tradition.”

All ages will enjoy making s’mores and take-home ornament crafts. Complete your WildLights experience with a visit and photo with Santa Claus who will be making nightly appearances. Delicious food and beverages will also be available for purchase.

Admission to WildLights is $12 for non-members; $10 for members, military (with ID) and children (ages 3-12). Children under age 3 are free. Some attractions and features require additional fees. Tickets are on sale now and available at LivingDesert.org or at the zoo.  For more information visit the website or call (760) 346-5694.
