STAGECOACH IS FOR EVERYONE AND DIPLO’S HONKYTONK TENT PROVES IT.

Stagecoach is touted as “California’s Largest Country Music Festival” and it sold out months in advance. But just like California, Stagecoach itself has morphed and melded into a multi-genre festival with artists embracing all types of music and different artists. Country is officially the cool corner of the music industry and many artists are clamoring to join in.

The closest music venue to the entrance of the festival (near the iconic Ferris wheel whose residency spans all 3 weekends of Goldenvoice festivals) is the newly named Diplo’s HonkyTonk. What’s a Diplo you ask? He’s an incredibly famous EDM DJ who released a country all in with remixes and country artists a few years back and has been a staple at Stagecoach ever since. To Coachella-Goers the HonkyTonk Tent is akin to the Sahara tent. Dance all night, laser shows included. 

Cheat Codes performed last night at 5pm to a line of THOUSANDS of people waiting to get in with the line to get in over 3 football fields long and expanding into Mane Stage territory. Be warned, while the line is lengthy, no alcohol is allowed to be brought into the tent so you must finish your adult beverage before entering or throw it away. But as long as the line was Friday afternoon, you’ll have plenty of time to imbibe in line. 

Cheat Codes (a DJ group) played everything in their set: John Denver’s “Country Roads”, “Wagon Wheel” by the Old Crow Medicine Show which regained popularity when Darius Rucker covered it, “Achy Break Heart” by Billy Ray Cyrus, to Beyoncé and Special Guest Star Tom-Tok sensation & now singer  Dixie D’Amelio who has over 3.3 billion likes on the social media app. So from Gen Z to the old school country lovers, all are welcome and embraced at Diplo’s HonkyTonk Tent…just get in line an hour before your favorite DJ goes on if you want to see the set! Inclusive has to stop at capacity unfortunately:  but a guaranteed good time, with air conditioning and shade, is to be had by all! Trust me, this is coming from a Stagecoach goer who’s been attending since its inception in 2007, the evolution of country music and Stagecoach is worth the wait.
