Fuerte, who was born in San Bernardino and grew up in Colton, was an editor, lighting director, sound engineer and cameraman for the late Huell Howser, who was host of KCET’s “California’s Gold.” Fuerte began working with Howser, a native of Tennessee, in 1987.

Fuerte will be live with CoachellaValley.com ‘s Craige Campbell, this Sunday right here on the Coachella Valley Page live at 1145 a.m.!

Fuerte’s awards include five Emmys, a Golden Mic for editing and the International Monitor Award. He has received awards from Press Photographers Association of Greater Los Angeles, was awarded Latino of the Year 2008 and received the Salt of the Earth Award in 2001.
