PALM SPRINGS, CA – The sky is nice to look at most of the time, ain’t it? I like when there are some nice red tones over the horizon as the sun is setting, and plenty of clouds to make you wonder if it’s going to rain. Anyways, the sky can surely be seen and depicted as art by the creative type and there’s a gallery that wants to see that art.

The second Annual Skies Art Competition has been announced by Fusion Art, and they are now accepting entries for the competition. It will be hosted on Fusion Art’s website during July. This competition calls for 2d and 3d artists to send in their best depictions of the sky, whether through their own artistic hands or through photography. -Sigh-. If I would have caught that picturesque red sky that one time back when I was cruising steadily over the overpass on the  91 heading west, I sure would have had a great submission. Eh, but I’m no artist.

If you, the artist, receive Best in Show, you will be invited to Fusion Art’s Annual Group Show in Palm Springs in February 2019. Artsy.net will feature the top five winners in each category as well. Artsy is the internet’s largest database of contemporary art, receiving an average of 2.5 million visitors each month. This site requires a gallery partner to have your art shown on it, so it’s a HUGE gateway for aspiring artists. Didn’t you ever think a picturesque sky photo could get you some attention?

Apply by June 27, 2018, or else you won’t make it in time.

If you are interested in submitting your artwork or photography, please visit Fusion Art’s website for full competition guidelines: https://fusionartps.com/2nd-skies-art-competition-july-2018/.
