Coachella Fest Art Re-Installed at Indio Park
Publisher CoachellaValley October 21, 2021Coachella Valley Music and Art Festival’s (Coachella) Installation newly re-installed at Indio Park.
The art piece is called Sarbalé Ke, which means house of celebration in the Mòoré language of Burkina Faso.
City officials said it was placed in partnership with Goldenvoice, the parent company of Coachella.
The piece was featured in the 2019 edition of Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival (Coachella) and was installed at Dr. Carreon Park, as the City of Indio revamps City look.

“We’ve been working on infrastructure, LED streetlights, we have the new marketplace that’s already started construction here in the city of Indio, which is adjacent to this community. We also are bringing this into this park area. so the whole area is getting a facelift and this is part of it,” said Indio Mayor Pro-Tem Waymond Fermon.

Watch Now Live- Happening Tonight – Palm Springs VillageFest, the City’s wildly popular street fair which prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, was held every Thursday night in downtown, will return on Thursday, July 1. Coachella Valley!
With COVID-19 cases significantly down, the City Council approved re-opening VillageFest at their last night meeting, with a smaller footprint and safety protocols in place. The street fair is expected to expand to its original length in the coming months. During the summer, VillageFest hours of operation will be 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
