Last Show of the Season APRIL 4TH 2026 – 9am – 3pm

As the Coachella Valley’s winter sun softens into golden afternoons, Old Town La Quinta welcomes back one of its signature cultural treasures: Art on Main Street, For the 2025-2026 season, this open-air art fair returns with expanded dates, new hours, and all the charm that has made it a favorite among locals and visitors alike.

A Season of Art, Community & Discovery

Set along Main Street in the heart of Old Town, this art walk invites guests to meander through artist booths, engage with makers, and take in original works in a village-style environment framed by boutiques, cafés, and mountain vistas. The 2025-26 season now features two additional shows and revised hours — from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.

Visitors will encounter a broad diversity of artistic media: paintings, photography, ceramics, glasswork, wood, textiles, sculpture, jewelry, mixed media, and more. Each show offers a chance to meet artists face to face, hear their stories, and perhaps bring home a unique piece.

Mark Your Calendar: Dates & Details

Here’s the full remaing slate for the upcoming season:

2026: | April 4 |

📍 Time: 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m.
📍 Location: Main Street, Old Town La Quinta

Admission and parking are free, and many shows include live music, local food vendors, and the full amenities of Old Town’s shops and restaurants.

What Makes It Special

Accessibility & intimacy: Unlike gallery-only settings, Art on Main offers a relaxed, walkable format where visitors can approach artists, ask questions, and observe works in progress.

Local character: The fair embraces the feel of Old Town — architectural character, pedestrian pace, and a sense of community.

Art for every taste: Whether you’re a seasoned collector or casual browser, the variety of media and price ranges make it approachable.

Supporting artists: Each event helps provide exposure and sales opportunities for local and regional creatives.

A day out: With the combination of art, shopping, dining, and ambiance, it’s ideal for making a day of it — bring friends, family, or come solo to explore.

Tips for Visitors & Artists

Arrive early: To beat the heat and the crowds, early attendance is rewarding both for browsing and chatting with artists.

Comfortable gear: Bring sun protection (hat, sunscreen), a water bottle, and comfortable shoes for strolling.

Budget a “someday” pick: Even if you don’t buy immediately, take note of works you love — many artists accept commissions.

Public transit / parking planning: Parking is free, but can fill up—consider walking from nearby lots or using shared rides.

Artist info: While many works are displayed for sale, check whether artists accept credit/QR payments or prefer cash.

Support the ecosystem: Shop from cafes, stores, and restaurants in Old Town — the fair is part of a larger vibrant local economy.

Looking Ahead & Community Impact

Art on Main Street has grown over the years — from a handful of dates to a full, seasonal fixture in La Quinta’s cultural calendar. As much as it’s an art fair, it’s a community anchor: generating foot traffic for Old Town businesses, spotlighting creative voices, and offering residents a regular dose of aesthetic energy.

In concert with other regional events — like the La Quinta Art Celebration and gallery openings — Art on Main helps knit a year-round cultural fabric for La Quinta and the greater Coachella Valley.

Whether you’re hunting for a new piece to display or just eager for a sunny stroll surrounded by creativity, the 2025-2026 Art on Main Street season promises to deliver.
