16th Annual Turkey Trot on Thanksgiving in Old Town La Quinta

Are you ready to get trotting La Quinta? Plan on working off those Thanksgiving pounds by running in the annual Turkey Trot!

The 16th Annual Turkey Trot is scheduled for Thanksgiving Day, Thursday., November 27 at 7:30 a.m. 

This year’s race will start and end on Main Street in Old Town La Quinta. 

The 5k run/walk will have a fast, flat course with beautiful desert landscape and panoramic views of the Santa Rosa Mountains. The race is suitable for all ages and levels of runners/walkers as well as dogs on leashes. There is plenty of free parking in Old Town, and participants and spectators are also encouraged to ride bikes to the event. 

Advance registration is now open online at active.com.  Registration is $30 for adults (ages 11 to 59), $25 for seniors (ages 60+), $25 for children (ages 10 and under) and $20 for cross country runners (ages 12 to 19).  Registration day of the race is $35.

A portion of the proceeds from the Turkey Trot will benefit Save-a-Pet, the no-kill shelter in Desert Hot Springs. This event is sponsored by Old Town La Quinta and Desert Cities Track Club.
