A magnitude 3.9 earthquake (revised) was reported Wednesday at 7:19 p.m. nine miles from Palm Springs, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The earthquake occurred 12 miles from La Quinta, 13 miles from Palm Desert, 16 miles from Rancho Mirage and 17 miles from Indio.
In the last 10 days, there has been one earthquake of magnitude 3.0 or greater centered nearby.
