Palm Springs International Airport Sets Passenger Record In 2018

PALM SPRINGS, CA — Palm Springs International Airport set a record for visitors flying in and out of the desert last year, according to statistics released by the city Thursday.

Last year saw 2,327,018 passengers passing through the airport, breaking the previous year’s record of 2,100,072 travelers.

Officials cited the city’s recognition of “the importance of the airport as an economic driver,” prompting “a significant financial investment in upgrades, renovations and improving amenities and concessions.”

City Manager David Ready said, “With a 10.8 percent increase year over year, passenger traffic at PSP continues to set records.”
