I can safely say I have never been chased by a Mojave Rattler. After this morning, I cannot say the same about the Mojave Desert Tortoise.

This testy tortoise had just chased off another male and set his eyes on me. I didnt think I was near close enough for him to pay me any mind but I guess he was feeling extra tenacious today… I now have a tiny gash above the glass of my lens
