Mountain Lion Captured Palm Springs

Mountain lion sedated and captured in a Palm Springs condo community. Coachella Valley!
Officers from the Palm Spring Police Department and the California Department Fish and Wildlife were called to the Sunrise Palms condo community after the mountain lion was spotted, authorities said in a Facebook post:

We’d be lion if we said this was a usual call for service.
Today, officers from the Palm Springs Police Department and California Department of Fish and Wildlife (CDFW) worked together to safely capture a mountain lion in the Sunrise Palms Condominium Community.
The mountain lion was safely tranquilized by CDFW, and had her very own Teledoc appointment while she was asleep. It was determined she was malnourished and in need of treatment. The mountain lion will be headed to a wildlife rehabilitation facility in San Diego County.
This serves as a good reminder to keep an eye on your smaller animals and don’t leave your pet’s food out to be eaten by wildlife. Thank you CDFW for assisting us with our furry neighbor.
