Coachella Valley Spotlight on Local Amateur Photographer – Lisa Avlarez Johnson
When the rain hit and flooded our Valley, Lisa was the one who quickly sent in some great photos of the rushing water down Washington St. and capturing how the beautiful city of La Quinta became a swimming hole.
"After living in Santa Rosa for over 33 years I moved to Yucca Valley in March of 2013, virtually sight unseen."
"I traded in my IPhone 3 for a Canon camera and that's where the real fun in picture taking came."
Lisa has a blog at https://www.desertwordbath.com/ where she talks of my love for the desert, everyday ins and out's, the triumphs and struggles of recovering from drug and alcohol abuse.
"I am currently writing my first book and in the meantime I do custom home painting to support myself."
Lisa's blog is chalked full of inspiration, guest bloggers, great poems and some of her great photography. Keep your eye's for Lisa.....She will be taking the Coachella Valley with her Canon Camera!
