Riverside County public health officials announced 10 new cases of coronavirus
RIVERSIDE COUNTY, CA — Riverside County public health officials announced 10 new cases of coronavirus, bringing the countywide total to 195.
The number of deaths remained unchanged at eight.
Meanwhile, two more Riverside County sheriff’s deputies tested positive for COVID-19, bringing the total number of deputies known to be infected with the virus to three, Sheriff Chad Bianco said in a Facebook video update Saturday.
The county also received the first positive test of an inmate, he said.
Of the 10 new cases, three were in Palm Springs.
Coachella Valley:
— Palm Springs, 18 cases, 2 dead;
— Palm Desert, 13 cases, 1 dead;
— Rancho Mirage, 9 cases, 2 dead;
— Indio has 8 cases, 2 dead;
— La Quinta has 5 cases;
— Desert Hot Springs, 4 cases;
— Cathedral City, 4 cases.
