Witnesses Sought, Pedestrian Killed In Palm Springs, California

The fatality was reported about 6:30 p.m. Thursday in the area of North Indian Canyon Drive and 20th Avenue, police said.

The crash is under investigation. Police Friday put out a call for witnesses to a collision that killed a pedestrian in Palm Springs.

According to the Palm Springs Police Department the victim was pronounced dead at the scene, and reported about 6:30 p.m. on Thursday near North Indian Canyon Drive and 20th Avenue,.

Police said the vehicle was southbound on North Indian Canyon when it struck the pedestrian, who was walking on the west side of the roadway.

The pedestrian was not immediately identified.

Witnesses were urged to call police Detective Alan Donovan at 760-323- 8125. Anonymous tipsters can report information to Crime Stoppers at 760-341- 7867.
