Halloween is almost here in the Coachella Valley and if you’re still trying to decide who or what to be and where to go, CoachellaValley.com is here to help.

By Francoise Rhodes

For many, All Saints Day is the perfect excuse to be anonymous (much like The Masked Singers), throw caution to the wind and let your inner self have some fun. For kids, we know it’s all about the candy!

In case you need a conversation starter at a big Halloween bash, the history of Halloween goes all the way back to a pagan festival called Samhain, when people would light bonfires and wear costumes to ward off ghosts.

The word “Halloween” comes from “All Hallows’ Eve” and means “hallowed evening” as hundreds of years ago, people dressed up as saints and went door to door, which is the origin of Halloween costumes and  trick or treating.

Now that you can impress everyone with your Halloween knowledge, it’s time to do the same with your costume. Every Halloween, some of the best costume ideas are ripped straight from the past year’s hottest pop culture headlines. This year’s lineup is no different, with a good mix of scary and family friendly.

EscapePS.com – Halloween Night – 2019

Here is our list of trending costumes.

Pennywise the Clown from IT

The Monster from The Masked Singer

“Baby Shark” Family (This costume works best when you’ve got the whole family in on it and trust us, the kids will love dressing up as a group.)

Meghan Markle, Prince Harry, and Baby Archie Forky from Toy Story 4

Princess Jasmine Daenerys Targaryen from Game of Thrones (Sadly, this is the last year that a Game of Thrones costume will likely feel relevant.)
