Westfield Mall Renamed
Publisher CoachellaValley November 24, 2021The mall formerly known as the Westfield Palm Desert has been renamed “The Shops at Palm Desert” as part of a rebranding by the new manager.
A google search for the Westfield Mall Palm Desert now pulls the name The Shops at Palm Desert and their hours.
The Shops at Palm Desert remains the largest single retail center in the Coachella Valley!
The center is set to launch a new website www.theshopsatpalmdesert.com. The site could go live as early as Thanksgiving.
JLL, the receiver managing the mall while it is awaiting sale, announced the name change Wednesday. They began updating the mall’s social media and other online channels late last week, according to mall marketing director Franchesca Forrer, with a new website expected to go live late this week or early next.

Watch Now Live- Happening Tonight – Palm Springs VillageFest, the City’s wildly popular street fair which prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, was held every Thursday night in downtown, will return on Thursday, July 1. Coachella Valley!
With COVID-19 cases significantly down, the City Council approved re-opening VillageFest at their last night meeting, with a smaller footprint and safety protocols in place. The street fair is expected to expand to its original length in the coming months. During the summer, VillageFest hours of operation will be 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
