Music is always wafting through the warm California air in our ‘hood and this year is no different. Music month kicks off with The Indian Wells Music Festival spread over the weekend of April 6 and 7 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. This is a festival that oozes class and a blend of Rock, Blues, Jazz and Country. Soulful music lovers mark your calendar for these dates as this year’s festival promises the best experience yet.
A line-up to remember needs a setting to remember. With the natural splendor of the City of Indian Wells, the Indian Wells Tennis Garden is the perfect venue for this symphony for the senses. With a capacity of 2,000 people and all reserved seating, the Indian Wells Tennis Garden will have a “Full Bloom” debut. The site has been preened to perfection with recent additions of palm trees, floral installations, pavers, plants and other greenery. Draped by the atmosphere of springtime, this succession of insanely good concerts is not to be missed.
Throughout the weekend, patrons will be treated to food, wine, art and more from a selection of vendors to complement the evening.

FRIDAY 6 APRIL
Opening the first day is Mindi Abair, two-time GRAMMY-nominated saxophonist and the Boneshakers, followed by The Fabulous Thunderbirds and headliner Jonny Lang. Expect electrifying rock, blues and jazz grooves and cool, retro vibes.
SATURDAY 7 APRIL
Sandra Lynn opens the stage on the second day, making way for the multi-GRAMMY-award-winning Robert Cray Band then piano virtuoso Jon Batiste with the Dap-Kings. Plenty of sass pop into a spectacle of harmony and story, finishing off on fireworks of jazz promising to light up the crowd.
