Palm Desert, CA – Feb. 10, 2021 – The 18th Annual Dr. George Charity Car Show, scheduled for February 13, 2021 has been officially moved to February 12, 2022. The decision comes after several attempts to reschedule the show, eventually pushing plans to the fall season, and still no set date.

The Board of the Palm Springs Cruisin’ Association (PSCA) voted to cancel the 2021 Show and focus its attention on the upcoming 2022 Show, to make it the best Car Show ever.

“It should come as no surprise to anyone. The uncertainties caused by the pandemic are still preventing any firm event planning for the remainder of 2021. Though we are very disappointed to have to make this decision, we remain committed to helping the Desert Cancer Foundation, the benefactor of our show, any way we can.” Said PSCA Vice President of the Board, Craig Korthase.

The Dr. George Charity Car Show is planned and produced each year by the Palm Spring Cruisin’ Association to benefit Desert Cancer Foundation (DCF), and support our local residents undergoing cancer care and treatment.

“We encourage donations to DCF where at all possible, to continue our support of the organization during a challenging year.” added Ross McMullin, PSCA Board President and DCF Board Member. “DCF’s work to provide financial assistance for cancer patients has not diminished.”

Last year the Charity Car Show hosted over 1,000 custom, classic and exotic vehicles and over 8,000 patrons. The all-volunteer car show is the largest in the region and is held at the beautiful Indian Wells Tennis Gardens. Last year the show provided a contribution of $120,000.

With Desert Cancer Foundation’s strategic partnerships with the local healthcare community, this translates to approximately $1,200,000 in cancer care for local residents who would otherwise not be able to afford the cost of treatments.

The PSCA is now focusing on the Shelby Mustang Sweepstakes to provide additional funding for DCF.

If you have not purchased your ticket to potentially win World Champion Shelby driver Allen Grant’s personal GT 350R, PSCA encourages you to please do so. This is a unique vehicle that is no longer in production and is sure to become a collector’s item.

Thank you for your support of the Dr. George Charity Car Show over the years. We will look forward to seeing you at the February 12, 2022 Show.
