Tahquitz Falls are Open Now



Many do not know the Indian Canyons, the ancestral home of the Agua Caliente Band of Cahuilla Indians, re-opened for hiking on Wednesday May 6, 2020.

The Indian Canyons are home to Andreas Canyon, Murray Canyon and Palm Canyon, and they are especially sacred to the Tribe today.

The Agua Caliente people have thrived here for thousands of years.

Spending time outdoors is an excellent way to take care of your physical and mental health, especially now.

While visiting our beautiful oasis, always practice social distancing at a minimum of 6-feet to protect yourself, other guests and our team members.



Please remember to wear your face-covering when interacting with others. Minimum water requirements will be strictly enforced:

Andreas Canyon: 16 ounces
Palm Canyon: 16 ounces
Victor Trail: 32 ounces
Murray Canyon: 48 ounces

Please note, during this time, the following is also in effect:

Trading Post is Closed for retail
No Ranger Talks / Ranger-led hikes

Preventative measures:

We have increased the frequency of our cleaning of high-touch areas including restroomsAll team members and guests are required to wear face-coverings when interacting with othersWe are requesting guests stay home if they are ill, running a fever or exhibiting symptomsWe are requiring all team members stay at home if ill, running a fever or exhibiting symptoms.

Oct. 1 – July 4: daily 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

(Last vehicle in at 4 p.m.)

July 5 – Sept. 30: 8 a.m. – 5 p.m.

(open only Friday, Saturday, Sunday – Last vehicle in at 4 p.m.)

No animals allowed

10am Hike – Leaves from Trading Post through Palm Canyon: Time 1.5 hours

1pm Hike – Leaves from Andreas parking and goes through entire Andreas loop: Time 1.5 hrs

Ranger Talks (free with paid admission) - Monday through Thursday: Time 30 minutes

10 am Talk – Located at the Trading Post

1 pm Talk – Located at Andreas Parking

July-September:
