(RWM) is a twenty-one-year-old local nonprofit organization that has successfully assisted children from low-income, to develop their fullest potential by learning to read, comprehend, and speak English.

Read With Me Volunteer
Their Mission: To assist children from a low income, limited English speaking environment develop to their fullest potential by learning to read, comprehend and speak English, while understanding that people care about them as individuals.
FROM A SMALL START
Read With Me began at Mecca Elementary. Now, 20 years later, we have over 500 volunteer tutors serving 22 elementary schools in the Coachella Valley and two in Nevada.

These volunteers commit an hour a week to help tutor more than 4,200 children in low-income, limited English-speaking environments.

Watch Now Live- Happening Tonight – Palm Springs VillageFest, the City’s wildly popular street fair which prior to the COVID-19 pandemic, was held every Thursday night in downtown, will return on Thursday, July 1. Coachella Valley!
With COVID-19 cases significantly down, the City Council approved re-opening VillageFest at their last night meeting, with a smaller footprint and safety protocols in place. The street fair is expected to expand to its original length in the coming months. During the summer, VillageFest hours of operation will be 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
