Classic Cars and Super Pet Adoption – Now that is a great Saturday!

One of the best ways to spend a Saturday is doing the things you love most and who doesn’t  love dogs and classic cars.  This Saturday was the 6th Annual Palm Springs Casual Concours[1] Classic Car Show put on by Great Autos of Yesteryear[2], and after taking my dogs for a hike, I headed out to the beautiful Desert Princes Country Club[3] to attend the event.

I was wowed by the fantastic collection of classic cars, some of the best in the valley. It was fun talking to the friendly car owners and hearing their stories and very difficult to pick a favorite car. The classics are a form of art and I love capturing their unique designs. I couldn’t get enough of those beautiful well loved vehicles.

The Great Autos of Yesteryear is one of those special car clubs that goes all out in support of their community. The organization has members from all over the US, Canada and Europe and we can’t thank them enough for their support of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter.

The event benefited the Palm Spring Animal Shelter who also held an adoption event at the show.  The red carpet fashion show featuring the dogs that were available was one of my favorite parts of the day.  The dogs arrived in their own classic car and were presented by special celebrities, they were treated like the top dogs they are. A couple of them even found their forever homes. If you are looking for a special friend, I encourage you to check out the special pups at the Palm Springs Animal Shelter. It’s hard not to bring them all home, they are so deserving of our love.

The Palm Springs Animal Shelter and Loving All Animals[4] are hosting a couple of special events next month. On Friday, November 14 they will be having their First Annual Loving All Animals Feather and Fur Follies, [5]with numerous well known headliners. This event will have a red carpet cocktail reception, dinner and show. It will be held at the Westin Mission Hills Resort.[6]
