Palm Springs Art Museum is full of Compost!

Whole Foods Market Palm Desert will deliver 10 tons of fresh compost made from produce waste from the store. It is part of the Whole Foods commitment to the environment to reduce its carbon footprint, spoiled produce and other biodegradable waste that used to go into landfills is backhauled by our delivery trucks to regional facilities where it is turned into compost, reducing our landfill waste by up to 75 percent.

 Arlene Amick, Managing Director of The Galen, will be present to comment about the pre-Earth Day celebration and activities planned to celebrate Earth Day taking place at the museum. 

WHEN:     10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday, April 3 and Saturday, April 5 visitors are invited to attend the museum and /or take compost home for free. Bags will be provided on Saturday. On Friday visitors need to bring their own bag for the compost
