Rear Window, directed by Alfred Hitchcock, is a mystery/thriller from 1954. This Hollywood classic stars Grace Kelly, James Stewart, and Raymond Burr. The film, called one of Hitchcock’s finest, tells the story of a wheelchair-bound photographer, who while recovering from a broken leg, spies on his neighbors from his apartment window and becomes convinced one of them has committed murder. Stewart is the photographer and Kelly is his girlfriend.
The film will be shown outside on the Great Lawn. Bring blankets and lawn chairs.
Admission is free.
Doors open at 6:00 p.m.
Film begins at 7:00 p.m.
Running Time: 112 minutes
Carpooling is strongly advised. Filmgoers may bring small picnics but are reminded that no large coolers are allowed at Sunnylands. Alcoholic beverages are prohibited.

With COVID-19 cases significantly down, the City Council approved re-opening VillageFest at their last night meeting, with a smaller footprint and safety protocols in place. The street fair is expected to expand to its original length in the coming months. During the summer, VillageFest hours of operation will be 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
