McCallums Theatre’s Open Call Competition – The Coachella Valley’s Best Will Come To Perform!

McCallum Theatre Institute, the education division of the McCallum Theatre is excited to announce OPEN CALL TALENT COMPETITION 2015! Don’t miss one of the most popular events in the valley April 16–18. Open Call presents the Coachella Valley’s best vocalists, dancers, instrumentalists and novelty performers of all ages in an exciting talent competition, with finalists appearing on stage in four performances. This annual sell-out event is an audience favorite and fun for the entire family.

Each year, it’s a great pleasure to help facilitate a rewarding journey for our Open Call finalists, and it’s thrilling to be in a position to share their talents,” says Open Call producer and McCallum’s Director of Education, Kajsa Thuresson-Frary. “Open Call continues to be an important project for us. We have a great team of artistic collaborators in place and there is so much joy and discovery involved in working with people from our own community.”

Thursday and Friday evening and Saturday matinee audience members vote for their favorite act. The winners will be announced at Saturday evening’s final performance. Cash prizes will be awarded to the grand prize ($1500), 2nd place ($750) and audience choice ($750) award winners. All Open Call finalists will receive a cash stipend.

All four performances are open to the public. For the 7PM performances on Thursday, April 16 and Friday, April 17 and the 2PM performance on Saturday, April 18 tickets are $10, $15, $25, $35 with a special ticket price of$10for children 12 and under. For the final performance at 7PM on Saturday, April 18 tickets are $15, $25, $45and$55.
