A magnitude 3.5 earthquake was reported Monday evening at 11:39 p.m. Pacific time four miles from Palm Springs, Calif., according to the U.S. Geological Survey.

Followed by another micro earthquake occurred at 11:41:28 PM (PST) on Monday, January 17, 2022.

The magnitude 1.3 event occurred 10 km (6 miles) NNW of Idyllwild, CA.
The hypocentral depth is 13 km ( 8 miles).
