Light Up El Paseo Still Happening Tonight, Friday, Dec. 4, 2020 – 6 p.m.
El Paseo Shopping District, Palm Desert, CA, Presented From City of Palm Desert and Discover Palm Desert:

“Join the City of Palm Desert on December 4 when we host Light Up El Paseo, an event geared to bring the community together in a safe and socially distanced manner to share an evening of simple pleasures and holiday spirit.
“Modeled in part on the successful Halloween Cruise Night on El Paseo, this event offers a much-needed dose of holiday magic, complete with festive lights, a dozen or more holiday-themed inflatables, and sparkling store window displays.
Due to heightened coronavirus concerns, this event has been scaled back. It will now start at 6pm, at which time the festive lights will be switched on and more than a dozen holiday-themed inflatables will go up.
There will be no welcoming speeches or official “flip of the switch” which might encourage gathering in small groups.
This should be considered a “dispersed event,” meant to be enjoyed at your own pace, from your own starting point, all along the entire length of El Paseo. You’re encouraged to take in the sights from your car, but you may also stroll on El Paseo with your family at this event.
As you enjoy the holiday magic from El Paseo’s sidewalks, we ask that everyone please abide by all State and County coronavirus guidelines: wear a mask at all times, and maintain social distance from anyone who does not live under your roof.
