Car Crash in Rancho Mirage Saturday, October 5
One occupant was reportedly ejected from one of the cars involved as a result of the wreck. That party suffered major injuries upon impact. You can see him in the live video.
Firefighters along with the paramedics on scene extricated another person from the wreckage. The patient sustained moderate injuries in the crash.
The entire extrication is live in this video. Despite her car crushed around her, she walked out of the vehicle and then took a few steps before collapsing to the ground.
Both victims were then taken by ground ambulances to a local hospital for treatment. Their names and condition at this time were not immediately available.
Meanwhile, authorities are still gathering more information and evidence to determine the cause of the incident.

With COVID-19 cases significantly down, the City Council approved re-opening VillageFest at their last night meeting, with a smaller footprint and safety protocols in place. The street fair is expected to expand to its original length in the coming months. During the summer, VillageFest hours of operation will be 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
