Interior Illusions Opens Palm Desert Store

Interior Illusions has opened its third location, joining existing showrooms in Palm Springs and West Hollywood. Located at 73930 El Paseo in Palm Desert, the 6,000-square-foot showroom has a product mix curated to complement large-scale homes in the region.
“This location, with its 20-foot ceilings, allows us to showcase some very large lighting pieces with high impact,” said owner Mike Valles.
Valles said while Interior Illusions already has a store in Palm Springs, adding the Palm Desert location was an easy call, due to the expansive nature of the Greater Palm Springs region. Plus, building ownership was an added bonus.
“The Coachella Valley is so large and spread out, many of the homeowners don’t make it to Palm Springs to shop,” Valles said. “So, this was a perfect opportunity to come to them and also the opportunity was presented to purchase the building, so it was a secure investment in my long-term goals.”

With COVID-19 cases significantly down, the City Council approved re-opening VillageFest at their last night meeting, with a smaller footprint and safety protocols in place. The street fair is expected to expand to its original length in the coming months. During the summer, VillageFest hours of operation will be 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
