In loving memory of the life and legacy of our friend Joshua Kunkle

In loving memory of the life and legacy of our friend Joshua Kunkle, whose life was tragically cut short on May 1st. Joshua was loved and respected by many in the Coachella Valley. We knew him as a knowledgeable librarian by trade and an avid homebrewer and podcaster by hobby.

He participated in all his endeavors with immense passion for his work as well as those that worked with him. In that regard, he was one of the most humble and benevolent members of the community. With Joshua you always felt at ease. He had infinite time and patience for everyone, graciously sharing his advice and knowledge. No conversation was too long with Josh and no task too laborious. If you were researching, he’d guide you to the end. If you wanted to learn how to make beer, he’d come to your home and get you started, or even let you brew at his place.

Joshua’s passing came as a shock to all. He was about to join his fiancé in the Central Coast where they would soon be married. It was a move that he was immensely looking forward to. He was celebrating this imminent new adventure with local friends. Our hearts go out to his fiancé, Roxanna Garcia. He will also be missed by his family Torrie Kunkle, Matthew Berry, Tandy Waters, Rex Waters, and his niece, Opal.

He touched many lives across the Coachella Valley.

There is an Event being held in his honor at the Desert Beer Company at 630p, May 6th. Come to remember his life and help raise funds to help meet the needs and immediate expenses his family are facing.

630 p Thursday

If you cannot join us in person, please consider donating on line. A GO FUND ME has been established:
