Humana Day at the La Quinta Certified Farmers Market
HUMANA CHALLENGE WEEK CELEBRATES HEALTHY EATING WITH HUMANA DAY AT THE CERTIFIED FARMERS’ MARKET
The healthy fun continues this weekend with Humana Day at the Certified Farmers’ Market. Following Saturday’s focus on getting active at the Well-Being Walk and Healthy Fun Fair, Sunday will encourage eating right with the opportunity to purchase healthy, organic food from a variety of knowledgeable local and regional growers. Items available for purchase include fruits, vegetables, herbs, bread, cheese, organic meats and more.
In addition to the food, attendees can enjoy cooking demonstrations from a local chef, and participate in fun activities at the Humana booth with Blender Bikes, free biometric screenings, HumanaVitality HealthyFood kiosk and the Humana Health and Well-Being Quiz.
The market is traditionally open September through May each year, and attracts roughly 400 patrons each weekend.
