Ghost Busters Turns 30!

Ghost Busters is celebrating 30 years!
We just learned that Ghost Busters is celebrating it’s 30th Anniversary! The first words out of my mouth…SHUT UP! The quirky horror comedy starring Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, Ernie Hudson, Sigourney Weaver and Rick Moranis came out in….are you ready?….1984!
Did you know that Dan Aykroyd wrote the amazing outline that was originally intended for John Belushi and he to star in. About a year after John Belushi passed, Aykroyd sent it to, Reitman and thought he would be an appropriate director to put him and Bill Murray together.
For its 30th anniversary, Sony Pictures Entertainment re-releasined “Ghostbusters” in more than 700 locations in the U.S. and Canada yesterday for a week-long engagement. (Currently playing at Century Theaters at The River. Click here for movie times)
The return of “Ghostbusters” might not be, as Murray’s Venkman would put it, an event of “biblical proportions.” But it marks a good excuse to end the summer season with a trip to the movies. Check out the trailer below for the top movie of the summer of 1984 – and a timeless film comedy:
