Flair Airlines to Fly Between Toronto and Palm Springs

Canada-based Flair Airlines has announced its plans to offer nonstop service between Toronto Pearson Airport (YYZ) and Palm Springs International Airport (PSP) starting on December 15. The independent ultra-low-cost carrier will be the only airline offering nonstop service on the route for the upcoming holiday season.
“We see a vibrant future filled with opportunities as we expand and bring nonstop service between the Greater Toronto Area and the Coachella Valley,” Stephen Jones, President and CEO, Flair Airlines, said in a press release. “Our low fares and nonstop routes are changing the travel game for Canadians. We cannot wait to bring more travelers to these popular destinations. Our low fares mean more opportunities for adventure and warm weather this winter. Travelers can explore the local festivals, sporting events, outdoor activities or relax poolside. Palm Springs is an excellent destination for Canadians to choose for an affordable winter escape.”
Flair’s Toronto-Palm Springs route will currently be offered twice a week — Tuesdays and Saturdays. The route will coincide with previously announced transborder service to Palm Springs from Vancouver and Edmonton which also begins this fall.

With COVID-19 cases significantly down, the City Council approved re-opening VillageFest at their last night meeting, with a smaller footprint and safety protocols in place. The street fair is expected to expand to its original length in the coming months. During the summer, VillageFest hours of operation will be 7 p.m. – 10 p.m.
