Fashion Week El Paseo comes to life celebrating its 10th Anniversary

Fashion Week El Paseo 2015 comes to life celebrating its 10th Anniversary
El Paseo Fashion Week is in full swing and last night’s opening 10 year celebration did not disappoint. With 12,120 (1,731 per day) in attendance last year, Manfold Publications who handles the PR, shared with us that they exceded last years tickets sales and media inquiries to cover the event have grown to amazing numbers!
The evening started with a red carpet photo op before guest entered into the beautiful reception where one could rub elbows with celebrities and fashionista’s.
The Fashion Show featured local designer Trina Turk, Kevin Hall, Candice Held (a personal favorite), Anthony Franco’s BxB boxing theme collection, Lloyd Klein, Eduardo Lucero, Gilbert Chagoury and celebrity go-to for everything luxurious and elegant, Oliver Tolentino.
Trina Turk has been inspired by the Golden State’s multicultural mix, creativity since 1995. Trina Turks’ latest line screams “Coachella Valley Life”. Her pieces are colorful, relaxing and sophisticated, perfect for life here in the Coachella Valley.
Kevan Hall SPORT showcased his active lifestyle brand of golf-wear for women that transitions effortlessly from the fairway to the clubhouse. Kevan Hall Sport’s entire line is produced in Los Angeles. His active lifestyle line has a retro feel with bold colors like Fushia and Lime Green.
Candice Held showcased a vintage inspired, romantic line with print and colors. A beautiful, feminine and flattering line perfect for life in the Coachella Valley. Her “Vivian” silk scarf dress is perfect for the up coming Coachella Valley Music & Art Festival.
Anthony Franco was born and raised in Los Angeles and is a self taught designer. Music is usually the bookends to his collections and at Sunday’s nights collection one might think he just listened to theme from Rocky. His BxB collection is edgy, sexy with a definite boxing theme.
Llyod Klien brand has become a favorite among powerful women. The authenticity of the couture workmanship and his Classicist timeless approach to design, are the brands hallmark.
Eduardo Lucero designs draped elegantly over the models body. I could not help but see a “burlesque” feel in his design in the layering of lace, sequin and beautiful lace cover ups.
Classic yet modern, effortlessly feminine and luxurious is how one describes the designs of Gilbert Chagoury. His 2015 Spring/Summer PRÊT-À-PORTER collection had hints of “Jackie-O” mixed in with some Roaring 20’s. It was classy and classic.
The Red Carpet Gowns of Oliver Tolentino completed the evenings fashion show. Tolentino’s vibrant colors and prints and attention to details have earned him an A-List clientele.
As the evening show wrapped up guest moved to the courtyard to enjoy music by Drake and his band.
Fashion Week El Paseo continues March 22-28, under The Big White Tent on Larkspur Lane between Shadow Mountain and El Paseo. Visit www.fashionweekelpaseo.com for specific shows and event details.
