DSUSD English Teacher dies of COVID-19 complications at just 32 years old
Desert Sands Unified spokeswoman Mary Perry confirmed Monday night that Shadow Hills High School English teacher, Christopher Trujillo, died Saturday due to complications from the coronavirus.
Trujillo, is the first credentialed teacher in Desert Sands Unified to die from COVID-19 related illness, said Desert Sands Teachers Association President Trina Gonzales-Alesi.
The Knights community mourns the loss of one of our own teachers, Mr. Chris Trujillo. We express our sincere condolences to his family, friends, colleagues, and students. May you all find strength, love, and comfort in the beautiful memories that will last forever. ⚔💜
