The Palm Springs Cuisin’ Association’s (PSCA) 19th Annual Dr. George Charity Car Show is set for Saturday, February 11 from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. The desert’s premier car show returns to the Indian Wells Tennis Garden after a two-year hiatus due to the pandemic.

The car show will feature approximately 1,100 vehicles displayed across the 18-plus acres at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Show participants come from several neighboring states to show exotic and sports cars, ranging from restored to classic and hot rods. Also featured will be a number of “movie” cars everyone knows and loves from famous Hollywood flicks. The event culminates with awards of various trophies and the “Best in Show” for special interest, young guns, and overall.
Virtually 100% of the net proceeds from the event will be donated to Desert Cancer Foundation (DCF) to provide financial assistance for local residents undergoing cancer care.

The Dr. George Car Show is a family fun event that benefits individuals and families in our community that have been impacted by cancer. This is just one of the ways PSCA and DCF work to improve our community. There are plenty of spectacular cars to see and photograph; the show will also include a silent auction and raffles, live music, food and beverage trucks, and other vendors with car-related and other fun items for purchase.
In addition to the many cars, the show offers exciting highlights such as the Dr. George Pedal Car Race, featuring our youngest aspiring drivers dressed in racing attire and driving mini cars. Pedal car races are sponsored by local businesses that have the opportunity to brand the pedal cars and racing gear worn by the kids. Pedal cars are auctioned off after the race to raise additional funds for DCF and the local YMCA.
No pre-registration is required from spectators. There is an entry fee of $10 that is collected at the gate on the day of the show.

The PSCA is an all-volunteer car club that promises car shows and events and much philanthropy to the local Coachella Valley organizations. The Charity Car Show is hosted in honor of the late Dr. Sebastian George – a local valley oncologist and co-founder of Desert Cancer Foundation. Over the years, the show has become the association’s largest and most prominent event. Some of PSCA’s founders were patients of Dr. George and remain dedicated to the show as gratitude for the doctor’s care, vision, legacy, and ongoing work through the Desert Cancer Foundation.
The 2020 Dr. George Car Show hosted over 1,000 cars, welcomed more than 8,000 patrons in one day, and raised an impressive $120,000 for Desert Cancer Foundation (DCF). To date, PSCA has raised and donated over $1.1 million to DCF. Thanks to strategic partnerships with our local healthcare community, this translates to more than $10 million in cancer care and treatment.
