DESERT CANCER FOUNDATION SEEKS VOLUNTEERS FOR COACHELLA VALLEY”S DR. GEORGE CAR SHOW

Desert Cancer Foundation (DCF) is looking for approximately 20 volunteers for their 13th annual Dr. George Car Show that will be held on February 14 at the Indian Wells Tennis Garden. Volunteers will be asked to assist from approximately 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. on the day of the event.

Volunteers will assist with all aspects of the event and will be visible throughout. Job duties include welcoming participants and onlookers to the event, expediting registration and check-in, handling raffle ticket sales and silent auction, as well as other various responsibilities.

This annual event celebrates the memory of Dr. Sebastian George, a nationally recognized oncologist and co-founder of DCF. Dr. George often donated his services to help cancer patients who could not otherwise afford medical care.

More than 8,000 people are expected to attend this event, and while this is a free event, there is a five-dollar charge for parking and guests are encouraged to make a donation upon entry.

Those interested in volunteering can contact Jessica Tanner at Desert Cancer Foundation. She can be reached at 760-773-6554 or at jtanner@desertcancerfoundation.org
