CITY OF INDIO “ALL IN” FOR TESTING, Indio City Mayor and Councilmembers opt-in for COVID testing to promote tier advancement

To help Riverside County to move ahead in the state public health tiers, more testing of “healthy” individuals is needed.  To encourage others in the community and throughout the Coachella Valley, Indio’s Mayor and City Councilmembers will undergo COVID-19 testing together.

This socially distanced event will take place outdoors at the Riverside County Fairgrounds testing site at 46350 Arabia St. at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, 2020.

The City has also launched an “All IN for Indio” testing campaign, with neighborhoods and communities encouraged to increase COVID-19 screening to fulfil the state’s threshold to advance tiers.

Currently, the County of Riverside is testing for COVID at two drive-through locations in Indio.  Appointments are required at both locations, but testing is open to anyone regardless of symptoms, and there is no out-of-pocket cost to those wishing to be tested.
