Cathedral City Balloon Festival Should Be “High” On Your To Do List This Weekend

The first ever Cathedral City Balloon Festival is set to take place this weekend, February 14-15th 2015 downtown Cathedral City on the festival lawn in front of the town square and the civic center plaza. Here’s a detailed rundown of all sky high festivities!
On Saturday February 14th –
The festival grounds will be open 6:30am- 9:30pm. The festival is a free public event. VIP parking will be available for 7$ per car. Free parking will also be available in the lots east of town square. Arrive early for this event to have time for parking and getting to the event.
Balloon tethered rides will take off at 7:00am and run until 11:00am (weather permitting) and cost 25$ for adults, 20$ for kids 5-12 and under 5 are free with an adult. LOVE is in the air decorated hot air balloons will also be providing couples with a unique way to show their love 100 feet in the air. Cathedral City Balloon Festival
There will be bounce houses, themed characters, face paintings, a vintage VW bus and camper show, Gourmet food trucks, and a theater square market.
Saturday Night- on Valentine’s Day
There will be a sunset wine dinner with a beautiful background of the Balloon Glow with music by “Avenida Band”. Dinner will be a four coarse meal with wine tasting and tickets are 75$ per person.

The balloon glow will happen from 6:30pm-7:30pm and after we will be screening Disney’s movie “UP” on a large outdoor screen starting at 7:30.Bring a blanket and a sweater and enjoy a night full of fun for all ages.
Beer and wine garden, bands & Djs on the main stage until 9:30pm
Sunday February 15th-
The festival will run from 6:30am until 12:00pm there will be tethered balloon rides available (weather permitting).
We will have a Applebee’s Community pancake breakfast from 8:00am- 11:00am. There will be gourmet food trucks and the Theater square market. With fun activities for all ages.
