Palm Springs Casual Concours Classic Car Show

Please join us as Great Autos of Yesteryear returns to the Desert Princess Country Club for our sixth annual Casual Concours and Charity Car Show. This year’s beneficiary will once again be the Friends of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter. Please show your support by entering your car in the show today. If you don’t have a car to show, come on down with all your friends to help support the shelter. Gate entry fees are $10 per person to view over 100 classic and exotic cars.

If you have never had the opportunity to visit the Palm Springs Animal Shelter, you are missing out on experiencing one of the best kept and well maintained shelters here in Southern California. Funds and donations raised from this event will be donated to Friends of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter, which is a non-profit organization dedicated to building a community responsible for pet stewardship and humane treatment of animals.

They manage and operate the city’s public, open-admissions animal shelter, providing quality care and love to the animals in our facility. The majority of the shelter’s annual budget is supported through events, personal and corporate donations. Without events like this that help support the shelter, many of these animals would be sent to city directed shelters and uncertain futures.

As a special addition to this year’s Charity Car Show, Friends of the Palm Springs Animal Shelter will be holding a pet adoption clinic and a canine cruise-in dog show on the day of the car show at the Desert Princess Country Club. So if you can’t make it to the shelter, we’re bringing the shelter to you. Not only will you be viewing classic and exotic cars from the 1940’s through today, but you also have the opportunity to take home a furry little friend.

Oh, and one more item I almost forgot to mention. Great Autos of Yesteryear members once again searched far and wide for a special raffle car for this event, and special it is!

This year’s raffle car is a beautiful 1984 Cadillac Seville, (top of the line you know) in Light Royal Blue with gorgeous white leather interior and white cabriolet roof. Known as the bustleback design, many consider this one of Cadillacs most distinctly designed cars of the 1980s. Of all the cars we have raffled off over the last 4 years, I think this is the nicest one yet!

Raffle tickets are available to purchase at the show, at club events, or through your local Area Coordinator. The winning ticket will be drawn on the day of the show, Saturday, October 18th. The winner does not need to be present to win.

One of the biggest changes for this year is having McCormick’s Exotic Car as our new host location for the Friday Night Welcome Reception. Many of you have attended their auctions and visited their dealership; now McCormick’s has generously opened their showroom floor to host this event.
