Counting 55 years and going strong, the Borrego Springs, California seasonal opening event “Borrego Days” is a “don’t miss” fun-fest. 

A Borrego Springs Chamber of Commerce & Welcome Center event, this year’s theme is simply “Welcome Back!” which we all can relate to. 

As we are far from your average hometown happening be prepared to be wowed as the 55th Annual Borrego Days Desert Festival kicks off at 9:45 AM on Saturday, October 23 with the national anthem and then our exciting flyover featuring a variety of aircraft before opening Christmas Circle Community Park for two days of live entertainment, kids zone, “Shine & Show” car show, adult beer garden and vendors galore.

The continuous live music offers multiply acts including Whitney Shay, The Sound of My Voice-Linda Ronstadt Experience, Soul Frenzi, Bandidos Del Norte and our first local amateur talent show. Our rows of unique booths will entice shoppers with a variety of handmade goods, beautiful artwork, crafts, information, demonstrations, pumpkin decorating and delicious festival food. 

The festivities continue on Sunday, October 24 (10 AM – 3 PM) with more live music, elementary school dancers, surprise drawings, talent show and more starting at 10 AM. 

The festival grounds are free to wander around and enjoy the live concerts, bring a few dollars for the kids zones, food, shopping, and the beverage garden. There is an abundance of free parking near and around Christmas Circle.

This year we are proud to say that Visit California has named Borrego Springs as a safe and family friendly place to visit in their “Kidifornia” tourism campaign.

Home to the famous Sky Art Metal Sculptures and Located less than 90 minutes from the Coachella Valley, downtown San Diego, and the Imperial Valley, you’ll find this small town filled with charm and no stress……something we all need!
