2026 Coachella Valley Invitational: Premier Soccer Returns to Indio

The 2026 Coachella Valley Invitational (CVI) is set to once again bring some of the most exciting professional soccer preseason action to Indio, California, from February 7–21, 2026.

Hosted at the iconic Empire Polo Club, this year’s event is poised to be the largest preseason soccer tournament in North America, featuring an unprecedented mix of Major League Soccer (MLS) and National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL) clubs.

A Showcase of Top Talent

The 2026 edition of the Coachella Valley Invitational will welcome 12 MLS teams and 9 NWSL teams as they use CVI as a key part of their preseason preparations, building toward the upcoming 2026 MLS season and the FIFA World Cup hosted in the United States.

Among the confirmed clubs participating are internationally recognized teams such as New York City FC, which will compete in multiple matches throughout the event, and Portland Timbers, who have announced their full CVI schedule spanning February 7–14.

The tournament also features clubs from the NWSL, including the Kansas City Current, marking their first time competing at CVI, and ensuring that fans of both men’s and women’s professional soccer will be treated to high-level competition.

CVI matches are spread over two weeks, with MLS preseason games typically scheduled from Feb. 7–14 and NWSL matchups from Feb. 15–21.
