Whole Foods Market Palm Desert Grand Opening Wednesday, September 24 at 9am!

The much anticipated Whole Foods Market Palm Desert Grand Opening is this Wednesday, September 24 at 9am!  This will be the first Whole Foods in the Riverside County!!

The Coachella Valley Team had the privilege of getting a sneak peek inside the amazing store this morning.  As soon as we arrived we were greeted with smiles, fresh coffee and croissants then swept away for a tour of each of the departments. Whole Foods gives so much attention to detail and you can see it in every aspect of the store.  As soon as you walk in you will see “Let the Sunshine” in large print  which is so perfect as here in the Coachella Valley….The Sun Always Shines! [1]

 

Founded in 1980 in Austin, Texas, Whole Foods Market is the leading natural and organic retailer.  The company’s motto, “Whole Foods, Whole People, Whole Planet.” We found out today just how true that motto is as nothing goes to waste at Whole Foods Market.  Whatever food’s can be donated to the the food bank, does, and what ever can not get donated gets recycled or composted. They strive to be a “No Waste” store.

Lamb from Iceland…..Seriously!  Although, only seasonal,  you can buy Lamb that is shipped to the Coachella Valley from Iceland….Gonna have to get some of that!

The Tap-in Taproom offers casual dinning, a neighborhood gathering place with a great selection of local and national craft beer, offering 24 taps along with a selection of cans, bottles and wine by the glass. You will find local craft beer too, like Babe’s Brew House, on tap in the Whole Foods Taproom.  

Taking advantage of the year-round sunshine, an outdoor patio with seating for 60 which includes a large community table for group gatherings and special events.  You can also dine by fire as one of the outdoor tables has a fire pit in the center….Gotta love that!

Then you get into what I know and love about Whole Foods Market….

A Juice Bar with made to order drinks, coffee bar with gourmet espresso drinks such as the Turkish Latte made with cardamon, cinnamon and hazelnut.  A fruit smoothie more to your liking…not a problem, they got that also 🙂 You will have an extensive choice of high quality, plant based add-on’s and boosters or just enjoy a good ol’ fruit smoothie.[4]

Produce: Extensive selection of organic fruits and veggies from Southern California.  In-store bakery that we are told makes fresh bread starting at 4am every day! You will have muffins, scones, croissant doughnuts, cookies and yummy vegan varieties as-well!

Now don’t get me started on the Whole Body section with local favorite the Body Deli on hand and too many others to even mention.  

You think I like Whole Foods Market….That is probably an understatement.  

San Diego is our go to place when we need to get-away and relax.  We often stay in either La Jolla or Del Mar. Our go to store in La Jolla was Mrs. Gooch’s which was bought by Whole Foods in 1993 and so our love with Whole Foods Markets began.  

We want to give a Special “Thank You” to Store Manager Casey, What a breath of fresh air you are!  We appreciate your down to earth yet very professional attitude.  You are being pulled in 1000’s of directions yet never made anyone of us media peeps feel less than and gave each of us your time.  Thank you for not just telling us about the integrity of Whole Foods Market but being an example of it.
