Seventy-four years ago the Welwood Murray Memorial Library opened to the public in downtown Palm Springs.
Today, the property REOPENS and has been significantly upgraded with new technology. The public has access to computers, printers, free Wi-Fi, a browsing collection of national magazines and daily newspapers as well as access to historical research and archives.
The library’s transformation was in part due to the passage of Measure J. Mayor Steve Pougnet said Thursday that the re-opening of the library is an important step in the downtown revitalization..
