The Kennel Club of Palm Springs hosts one of the 5 largest AKC Licensed all breed dog shows in the Country the first weekend in January. We are so lucky that it’s hosted in our valley and at the ever beautiful Empire Polo grounds. This show is a veritable smorgasbord of dog breeds, with obedience and rally competition it provides everyone with just a hint of the best of the best and the dog world in general.
If you are a dog lover, this event is a must see. You will be enthralled at the skill of the dogs in the obedience and rally events and fall in love with the beauty of each and every breed. From the ever vibrant Chihuahua to the nobility of the Newfoundland the show provides a day of education and great family entertainment.

The Kennel Club of Palm Springs, California, is holding the annual AKC Licensed All Breed Dog Shows, Obedience and Rally Trials, the first weekend in January at the Empire Polo Grounds in Indio. This prestigious show is considered the opening event of the dog show year on the west coast!!!
The Kennel Club of Palm Springs conducts two of the largest all-breed dog shows in the country, with over 7,000 entries over the Saturday/Sunday weekend. Check this link for more specific information on showtimes, breeds etc.

– There is no entry fee, only a parking fee
– Food and beverages will be available
– Unique pet toys and other hard-to-find doggie items, will be availabe for purchase in the club’s “Vendor Mall”
– Please leave your pets at home, as un-entered dogs are not welcome on the grounds
– In the interest of child safety, baby strollers are not permitted under the tenting
– Everyone is welcome!! Bring your lawn chairs!
The pavilion holds a large group of vendors of dog products from beds, collars, and treats to photography and other services. But don’t forget to stop on your way out to buy your pup a treat so he won’t be too jealous when he smells all the dogs you couldn’t resist petting. Obedience and conformation classes run to 1:00 PM on Sunday.
