Family YMCA of the Desert Invites Residents to Put on Their Cowboy Boots and Horse Around

The 27th Annual Family YMCA Hoedown at Sundown will be held at Agua Caliente Casino Resort Spa in Rancho Mirage on Saturday, November 1 beginning at 5:30 p.m. The evening commences with an open bar, appetizers and a silent auction, followed with Western barbeque fare at 7 p.m. At 8:30 p.m. guests can kick up their heels to music and instructional line dancing, as well as a live auction.

Emcee Patrick Evans, weatherman and host of Eye on the Desert on CBS Local 2, will guide the evening, direct the auction, and lasso participation of the guests for some foot stomping entertainment and a good time. All the fun benefits the 44 locations of the YMCA in our desert cities, serving 3,500 youth daily, to fund ongoing programs.

Auction items at the event include donations from a variety of numerous attractions, hotels, businesses, retail and other organizations, including Disneyland Resort, Park Hyatt Aviara, Sherman Oaks Castle Park, Laugh Factory, Las Casuelas Quinta, OPI Products, Pacifica Seafood, San Diego Zoo Safari Park, Cork Tree Restaurant, and much more. In addition, raffle prizes will be awarded.  

Sponsors of the Hoedown are Sally Simonds, Susie and Wayne Harvey, Rabobank, Carl’s Junior, The Gas Company, Chariton Insurance Services, FG Creative, and Jim and Kathie Latting.

This event is for those 21 years and older. Tickets are $135 per person. Roundup tables of 10 are $1,250 and VIP tables of 10 are $2,000.
