Desert Jamboree is a “Music for Charity” event produced by the American Outreach Foundation where everyone involved is a volunteer ensuring that monies donated or raised have an instant impact in the community.

Founded in 2007, the American Outreach Foundation donates electric wheelchairs to veterans, children, and adults. We strive to enhance the quality of life of those stricken by various conditions, limiting impairments and children with learning and developmental disabilities.

The Desert Jamboree will showcase some of the most talented performers the Coachella Valley has to offer. The Jackson Garrett Band, founded by Chris Gore, will perform adult-contemporary, jazz, pop, and blues with an 8-piece ensemble featuring numerous guest vocalists and musicians.

Special guests: Mike Costley, Laura Hagen, Calista Carradine, Michael D’Angelo, Al Robertson, and the “Prince of Palm Springs” Fleet Easton. CBS Local 2 Patrick Evans will be the celebrity Master of Ceremonies. Enjoy a glass of wine or beer ($5) and free Hors d’oeuvres & Fruit during the concert.

The American Outreach Foundation provides electric wheelchairs and scooters to residents and local nursing home and rehabilitation centers. In partnership with various school districts in and near the Coachella Valley, the American Outreach Foundation supplies Adjustable Slant Boards for children with learning disabilities – a learning tool designed to grasp children’s awareness and connect them more easily in everyday activities where they previously held little or no interest.
