As part of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Brighton Collectibles on El Paseo will be selling special “Power of Pink” bracelets with Desert Cancer Foundation (DCF) receiving a portion of the proceeds.

Brighton Collectibles has created two special bracelets to bring awareness to breast cancer. One features a “Power of Pink” commemorative ribbon crafted of bezel-set Swarovski on a pear-shaped brilliant stone for $60. For each one sold, Brighton will donate $10 to DCF. In addition, there is a leather bracelet offered with a “Power of Pink” ribbon charm attached. The leather bracelet is $43, and $8 from each one sold will also go to DCF.

The “Power of Pink” campaign kicks off with a special in-store event on Friday, September 26th from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., where refreshments will be served. The bracelets will be available until October 31st.

“Not only are these Brighton bracelets pretty, but they have a purpose as well. When you wear these bracelets it provides a way to make others aware of breast cancer,” said Paula Simonds, Executive Director of Desert Cancer Foundation. “We truly appreciate the support and donations that Brighton has given us.”

In 12 years of supporting Breast Cancer Awareness nationwide, Brighton has raised over $5 million. Locally, the Brighton Collectibles on El Paseo has contributed over $125,000.

About Desert Cancer Foundation:

Desert Cancer Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to assisting residents in the Coachella Valley and surrounding communities who need financial assistance in obtaining screening, diagnosis and treatment for cancer and allied diseases.

POPwithNOBACK[4]
Desert Cancer Foundation provides financial assistance for cancer screening through The Suzanne Jackson Breast Cancer Fund (SJBCF) https://desertcancerfoundation.org/Breast-Cancer-Program[5]. The fund was founded in August 1998 by the Desert Healthcare Foundation in collaboration with the Comprehensive Breast Center at Desert Regional Medical Center.

This cancer screening program fills a much needed gap by providing services to residents of the Coachella Valley who are uninsured and have a financial need. The cancer screening services include screening and diagnostic mammography, ultrasound, imaging guided biopsies, pathology, education and professional fees covered by the program. The program was named in honor of the late Suzanne Jackson, beloved former Tournament Director of the LPGA and part-time desert resident who was a victim of breast cancer.
