6. Grill-a-Burger

Taste Homemade and I’m also one who considers avocados a food group so I had to try the avocado fries…..where have they been all my life!!

They handcraft their patties from fresh (never frozen) 100% all-natural USDA inspected choice beer and grill them to order. They get their buns from a local bakery, where they are baked fresh each day and lightly toast them to make the outside slightly crisp and warm. Each burger comes with garden crisp lettuce, hand-sliced red onion, vine ripened tomato and sliced kosher pickles. They make their French fries in-house, hand cut from fresh Idaho russet potatoes, double fried and slightly salted- changing their zero-trans fat oil out daily.

7. Farmer Boys[10]

They use 100% ALL-PURE BEEF, ground fresh. Everything is MADE TO ORDER.  Portions are generous and Farmer Boys Farmer’s Burger® is named “Best Burger” in Southern California.  I am a big fan of onion rings and they have some of the BEST!! A Press-Enterprise writer refers to Farmer Boys as “Lord of the Onion Rings”, describing them as “monster truck tires”!

8. Fatburger[12]

Fatburger is a great place to go to satiate the rumbles of the tummy!  Founded in 1952, they use only 100% USDA lean beef. Fresh, never frozen.

Medium Fatburger stacked with “the works” (mayo, lettuce, tomato, pickles, onions, relish, mustard), pepper jack cheese, bacon, and a fried egg. The relish was the surprising flavor, not normally a topping for a burger. It has a not too sweet and celery seed/salt flavor that works really well. The bacon and egg additions make the burger more like brunch, combining breakfast and lunch into one meal ~ Chelsea M

9. Dillon’s Burgers & Beers[14]

Built in 1948, the place has character, the burgers are amazing (we recommend getting it with tater tots).

Tucked along a dusty desert road, Dillon’s Burgers and Beers melds decades of history into an unforgettable experience. It’s gone by many names, but the commitment to great food, music and drink has lasted since Dillon’s opened in 1946.

This historic venue hosted The Doors when rock and roll was banned in Palm Springs. It’s where locals and travelers bond over a plate of hot wings and a joke with the bartender. It’s the most authentic desert restaurant you’ll find in the Coachella Valley.

Sip a cold beer with friends while local musicians play intimate shows. Bring your kids to daytime family events. Or hide yourself in a corner booth with a basket of Dillon’s famous onion petals and watch generations of patrons have fun.

I can’t say enough about their onion pedals and let’s be honest, the jalapeño, bacon cheeseburger is the best in the entire valley – Breanna Sewell

10. Andy’s Burgers[16]

We have never been to Andy’s however here is what locals are saying…..

Best Burgers in Coachella! Been coming here since I was 5 – Monica G.

Hands down best burgers in Coachella/Indio! – Mary

Love the burgers, and the breakfast burritos are outstanding! Sort of a throwback, hole-in-the-wall kind of place, but it’s great. An extra bonus is the safe feeling being there as lots of local law enforcement dine there! H P
